the film is ideal for rainy days

Clearly, the film is ideal for rainy days, and a chance to escape from the humdrum of life.

This film, directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey and Cody Horn. After Channing Tatum’s stripper past was revealed in 2009, having moved on from Step Up in to more credible roles, such as Dear John. Soderbergh decided to make light of his past talents and cast him in Magic Mike. 

The plot: ‘When college dropout Adam (Pettyfer) gets a job on a construction site, he’s befriended by Mike (Tatum) and joins him at the male strip club managed by cocky showman Dallas (clothes-allergic McConaughey). Adam’s sister Brooke (Horn), a nurse, is protective of her little bro’, and undecided about romantic overtures from Mike.’

The film, a sure box office hit, has many good points, it is set in Tampa, Florida rather than Miami, which in turn, grounds the film. Pettyfer, has also been noted as a break out performer, wonderfully believable as the troubled Adam.
